⛽ Fueling

At Be Our Guest Events We work with professional transport buses that are all on DIESEL driving.
It is therefore incredibly important that you always pay close attention to which fuel you are using when refueling.
A small mistake gasoline instead of diesel can have major consequences for the bus, the schedule and your wallet.

⚙️ Fuel Information

🛢️ Fuel: always DIESEL
🚪 When opening the tank lid, it also clearly states: Diesel
📍 The fuel card is located in the designated key tray in the warehouse by default.
💳 The fuel card works at all regular gas stations in the Netherlands.

⚠️ Pay attention when refueling

Unfortunately, there have been several occasions when employees have accidentally filled up with gasoline.
The bus then usually runs only a few kilometers and then completely stops.
This mistake has major consequences and costs a lot of time and money.
So make sure you always have a checks what it says on the filler gun before refueling.

✅ Diesel is indicated by a black or yellow handle and the letter “B7” or “Diesel.”.
🚫 Gasoline handles are usually green - So never use those!

🆘 What to do in case of misfueling

Did you accidentally fill up with gasoline instead of diesel?
Stay calm and follow these steps:

⛔ Do NOT start the engine! As soon as you start, the gasoline spreads throughout the system, making the damage much greater.
📞 Call ANWB directly - the emergency number is on the ANWB instruction in the glove compartment (laminated A4 sheet).
🕒 The ANWB usually comes in 30 to 90 minutes.
💰 The cost for this emergency service (approximately €150) is for the account of the person who misfuelled.
⛽ The ANWB will drain the tank completely the fuel you just filled up is lost and will also be charged to the person who made the mistake.

🚚 Delay caused by misfueling

🕒 This error causes serious delay often more than an hour and it is then almost impossible to arrive at the customer's place on time.
📞 Does this happen en route to an assignment? Call immediately Tim so that he can assess whether another bus should be used to transfer the material and still reach the customer.
🌙 Does this happen on the way back to the warehouse (in the evening or at night)? Then you need Tim or Talitha not to call.
Wait quietly until ANWB finishes, then drive back to the warehouse. These lost hours are not work time and therefore will not be paid.

💸 Charges for misfueling

🔧 Cost of ANWB assistance (pumping out tank): ± €150
⛽ Cost of lost fuel: fully borne by the person who misfueled.
📆 Any damage, delay or extra mileage due to transfer will also be charged.

🧠 Summary - your checklist when refueling

🚗 Check before refueling: does it say Diesel On the filler gun?
🛢️ Use only the black or yellow lever (diesel, B7).
💳 Pay with the Be Our Guest fuel card (never use your own debit card).
📋 After refueling, check that the fuel cap is tightly closed.
